Leonard Hersh LNHA
Leonard was born and raised in upstate New York and takes advantage of all it has to offer, indulging his passion for snowmobiling, skiing and photography. (His love of scuba diving needs to be pursued elsewhere!) Leonard joined the Fulton Center with a wealth of management experience, most recently as the CEO and Administrator of a skilled nursing facility. And what does he believe is most important to maintaining a word-class rehabilitation and nursing facility? “Staff.” And he’s quick to point out that the outstanding staff and the wonderful group of residents at Fulton Center were one of the reasons he was anxious to join us. “Fulton Center is a community in the truest sense,” he says, “and that’s critical. We’re friends and neighbors caring for friends and neighbors. I’m excited to be here, and we’re going to continue doing the kinds of things that are making the Fulton Center a real gem in Fulton County.” Now doesn’t that the sound like the kind of person you want overseeing the home of your loved ones?
Amy Marotta RN
Director of Nursing
Each and every resident at Fulton Center is a beneficiary of Amy’s sincerity and depth of knowledge. A registered nurse whose expertise and unwavering dedication to excellence in care is paramount, Amy leads an excellent team of registered nurses, LPNs and CNAs who are all committed to providing the highest quality of care to every resident. “I was called to nursing, and I’m blessed to have the opportunity every day to provide the kind of care that our residents deserve. And I love the fact that I get to lead such a great team. Working with these talented people and our wonderful residents makes this job very special.” No wonder her team, her residents, and their families all love to see her in the building.
Salina Kopp PT
Director of Therapy
Salina joined the Fulton Center family in 2012 and made an immediate impact. Helping to oversee the physical, occupational and speech therapy unit here — as well as the ongoing in-service training that keeps our therapists up-to-date on the most current practices and protocols — is an important job. But most important is the tone set by Salina in the therapy gym. Therapy can be difficult at times, and the therapist and patient need to form a team, a personal bond, a commitment that will achieve their common goal together. That’s the attitude that Salina has fostered and our good outcomes in every aspect of therapy are testimony to how well it works. And even on the hardest workout days, there’s always one constant sound coming from the gym – laughter. Because success is fun!
Meghan Coons MSW
Director of Social Services
Meghan really knows how to put the Centers spirit of Heart, Health, Home into everything she does. Ask her what she likes best about social work, and she’s quick to respond.
“It’s all about making people feel like they belong. After all, this is their home, whether it’s for a few weeks or many years, and we want them to feel safe, comfortable and welcome. I try to extend that to whole family, too. It’s tough to be separated from loved ones. I try to let people know that they are always welcome here. When they have difficulties or they’re struggling with all the health care red tape, I can usually help them through it. It’s about providing more than health care; it’s about providing a lifestyle that meets our residents’ social, spiritual and physical needs as well.”
Meghan has a Master’s degree in Social Work, but it’s her whole approach that makes her such a special person to the residents of Fulton Center.
Knowledge is health.
For the absolute highest quality of care, Fulton Center staffs medical providers on each unit who stay in constant communication with leadership throughout the day. Team collaboration is our forte, and this commitment helps us maintain an unbeatable continuum of care.
Our team also works hard to keep therapies as consistent as possible, tracking all communications through an advanced electronic medical record system. This ensures immediate transmission of information across the entire care network.
